Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria on Thursday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tech Innovators and Solutions Network Initiative (TISNI) as part of an effort to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, and technology development among students and the larger university community.
The partnership also aims to empower students through startup support, and help them bring their final year projects to life, ultimately building a vibrant and sustainable tech ecosystem within the university.
The President of MAAUN, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr signed the document on behalf of the university while the Deputy Executive Director of TISNI, Mrs. Aisha Kwaku, signed on behalf of her organization.
In his remark, Prof. Israr who described the day as a historic one for the university, gave a brief overview of the university.
Prof Israr noted that the signing of the MoU marks the beginning of a transformative partnership to shape the future of innovation and technology in Nigeria.
He said the MoU would give MAAUN students opportunity to have access to TISNI exclusive training, programs, mentorship, and startup support.

mentorship, business idea evaluation & funding, and industry-relevant training. And to shed more light about our initiative aims to equip students with practical skills, connect them with tech hubs and startups, and offer continuous support in their journey toward innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria and Tech Innovators & Solution Networking Initiative is going to take place in the presence of dignitaries from both organizations.
It will be helpful for exchanging best academic practices and organizing joint events.
